The importance of chemistry is to understand the phenomenon of your day to day life. Humans cannot survive without chemistry. Chemistry is all about the study of matter  and its particles interaction. It is often considered as a boring subject but topics like fireworks and explosion come under it which makes it interesting.

The Department of chemistry established in year 2013, which  runs Under Graduate programs (B.Sc.). The department of chemistry is well known for its excellence in teaching. All faculty members of the college looking to strengthen their base in this subject.

The department is fully equipped with instruments, equipment and reference books for the students of UG. In addition to the theory and practical classes, there are conducted co-curricular activities by the department for the betterment of the student’s seminars, group discussions, industrial visits, guest lecturers, Science day, Blood donation, chemistry quiz etc. The department of chemistry is pioneer department right from the inception of the college.

Department of Chemistry – Activities 

1.Chemiad Competition  Seminar ,Group discussion  – The competition has been organized by department of chemistry savitribai phule pune university, pune. The examination is for the FY BSc students opting Chemistry as one of the subjects and learning in science colleges affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. 

2.Chemistry Quizz – The chemistry quiz is for the student for the FY BSc, SY BSc & TY BSc.This chemistry quiz consist all basic science question in everyday life .

3.Guest lecture  – provide students with alternative perspectives, opinions, and personal experiences that can reinforce the teachings of the instructor .As point of view student progress & enhance knowledge , department of chemistry arranges guest lecture .

4.Seminar , Group discussion  –To enhance knowledge and stage dairing of students . promote a deeper understanding of a topic and increase long-term retention.
